I don’t really trust the cheapies because I dipped two in the SAME urine and one showed a much darker line than the other…A dye stealer definitely shows your HCG is rising, but it’s nowhere near how high your HCG would have to be to be completely negative. Hook effect is not the goal, a dye stealer isn’t even really the goal (although I totally understand wanting one!) because at the end of the day none of that can tell us how the pregnancy is progressing.
