This is my go-to cleric build that is an all-in-one healer, buffer, de-buffer, flanker, AOE damager, and crowd-controller, who just happens to have a bite attack and access to a leopard pet to serve as the party tank. Abyssal is good for a hybrid or summoner build.This is a pretty straightforward, reach fauchard build that utilizes Dreadful Carnage on the base Paladin class. It's nothing fancy, but it scales well and works great as a main character due to high saves, high Chrasima/Persuasion, and a respectable amount of damage when properly buffed. Half-Orc Clerics / inquisitors can wade into combat with a greataxe and a buffed up pet and clean house, if you want a martial weapon in the mix. Barbarians are competent. I'd recommend it if you don't want to worry about spells. 4.To the OP, the most effective build I found is a Tower Shield Specialist Fighter who takes armor focus, shield focus and dodge for feats, as a human. Max out your AC and it is a lot easier than any other build. FYI: enemy stats for the 3 in the library at the start of the game, on Unfair are: melee dude: 22 AC and +9 Attack.
