If the rifle has two numbers then subtract that from 100 and the answer is the year made. EXAMPLE - - If ser# begins with 99 then 100 - 99 = 2001 IF 25 then 100 - 25 = 1975.The "MR" serial number is not used to date the rifles The 2 letter code on the left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver indicates the date of manufacture. The first letter is the month using B-L-A-C-K-P-O-W-D-E-R-X as the code. B=Jan. L=Feb. A=Mar. ETC. The second letter is the year E=2010 F=2011 G=2012....I would imagine H=2013Below are the manufacturing date codes. Please note this list is NOT INCLUSIVE of all Marlin firearms.
