Apparently it can take up to 48hrs so I have my fingers crossed that it may still have worked. Only time will tell.With my first I lost the mucus plug around 39weeks and nothing happened for a while. I had some blood when the did a strech n sweep of my membranes but nothing significant. I finally went into labour 10 days after my due date. I didn't get the bloody show till I was well into labour (close to 7 cms before they broke).I had my membrane swept at 10am and was also 2 cm. Lost my mucus plug around 4 pm. Took a nap to rest up for birth. At 7 pm started having contractions with no real pattern which continued all night. By 7 am I noticed them getting closer together. At 10am we decided to go to hospital and was 6 almost 7 cm dialated.Last week at my 36w appointment I was 4cm dilated. I have an appointment today and was going to request a membrane sweep but I lost my mucus plug this morning. Would you still request a sweep? With my first I never lost the mucus plug but was still very dilated like this time so not sure if I should take it as anything is happening soon or not..
