The standard controls are just clunky and really weird in my opinion. I mean, in real life even someone who has never flown a helicopter can fly one if he gets a 10min introduction from a flight instructor, and the controls in arma 3 are more complicated than in real life. BFM teaches you that throttle doesn't matter, in AFM throttle matters at every speed even you are flying straight. It takes far more concentration and skill to fly AFM. I would say 95% of AFM players are worse than a good BFM pilot.
