Even if you set the tether distance to 1000+ ect, in the original Ark at least, non dedicated is still somewhat impossible if you want to do any caves as it breaks the tether no matter the distance. This can cause game crashes and other issues. This is definitely a major issue that I would've hoped would have been solved on this remaster.If on pc you can setup a non dedicated server by hosting it and they can join tour server while you are online.
